What kind of music do The Jazz Coasters play?
Vintage jazz and swing: Roaring 20s hot jazz, big band swing, New Orleans and Dixieland jazz, and blues.
What events do you play?
Weddings, corporate events, Gatsby and Roaring 20s parties, swing dances, cocktail hours, festivals, Mardi Gras celebrations, second line parades, vintage film events, and New Orleans–style funerals.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Cincinnati and regularly perform across Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Oxford, and Central Ohio. For events farther afield, get in touch — we travel for the right occasion.
How much does it cost to hire the band?
Pricing depends on the date, venue, hours of music, and the shape of your event. Send your details through the contact form and we will reply with availability and a tailored quote.
Can we see the band live before booking?
Yes — we play public shows and swing dances around the region all year. Check the shows calendar for upcoming dates.
Do you play both background music and dance sets?
Yes. We can keep it elegant and conversational for cocktail hours and dinners, then raise the energy for a full dance floor — often within the same evening.
Have you played notable events?
Our performances include Netflix’s “Say I Do” (Season 1, Episode 5), opening for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Memorial Hall, and events at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Music Hall, Belterra Park Casino, and the Hilton Netherland Plaza.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Weekends in the spring, fall, and holiday season book earliest, but it never hurts to ask about any date.
